I’m sick, sick of not making money and sick of having an unhealthy business.
You work hard enough in your business don’t you think you deserve a payout for what you’re worth? When you have an unhealthy business, you tend to be overworked and underpaid. Some of the time business owners think if i’m making money, things are good. That’s not the case and I’ll show you why.
So I have been sick over the last weekend and can I tell you how miserable being sick is? Its torture is what it is. Lucky for you I was able glean from my terrible predicament for your benefit. You’re welcome. So I’m not going to share the details of my illness other than to tell you, I had a cough. A consistent pain in the A$$ dry irritating cough.
So you know how it goes. You fill up on liquids, rest, take some medicine.
That didn’t relieve my cough.
So frustration kicks in, which raises blood pressure which causes more problems. Those problems lead to no sleep, one of the most vital components to healing. So I am sitting there, awake around 2:30 am wondering what on earth can I do to resolve this cough and get some shut eye.
I gargled with warm salt water and it mitigated the irritation just enough for me to hunker down and sleep for a few hours.
You see it was a vicious cycle I was dealing with.
Coughing —> Can’t Sleep —> Keep Coughing —> Stay Unhealthy.
What was to be my freedom from this?
What irritations are you dealing with financially?
The ones that are persistent, holding you back, and damaging your business. Without getting that rest, it doesn’t matter what medicine you try and take, the “quick fix’ you employ will never bring you the results you need to stay healthy. And yeah those gimmicks may yield a few tender moments of success, but that’s not a lifestyle you should be pursuing, (or continuing on living).
What I’m talking about is having a healthy business and leaving your unhealthy business in the past.
One of things entrepreneurs are most infamous for is their bragging about topline revenue. To be honest the size of the business is not nearly as important as how healthy your business is. A much smaller business could be operating at a much higher level of profitability. So stop focusing on how big it is.
Are you trying to patch holes/look for quick fixes? Or are you humbly looking for a sustainable platform to grow your wealth and your life.
Are you prescribing the wrong treatment?
Every time I go to CrossFit one of the first things I do after walking through the door is check the WOD. Predetermining instantly if today is the last day I live or die. Some of those workouts are just insane!
I thought of this because of the Rx, the prescribed weight and reps in a WOD. What Rx should you be getting after in your financial situation?
What method is going to yield the long lasting results you’re looking for? And, can you get it yourself, or do you need some guidance?
If you were to do a financial WOD today, do you have the capabilities and knowledge to do it Rx’d?
I know I have hit you with a lot of questions to think about today, but I just wanted you to correlate this example in your box. If you’re unhealthy or even unsure with your finances, there are simple things you can do to stay on a healthy course.
Final Thoughts
Can I leave you with a final question? Please leave an honest response I’ll be reading them personally.
What stumbling blocks are getting in the way of your ultimate financial success?
